About the Journal

Aims and Scope

TOPIC publishes original scientific articles in main fields of psychology: General psychology; Neuropsychology and Neuroscience; Developmental psychology; Work and Organizational psychology, and Social psychology; Psychodynamic and Clinical psychology.

Contributions are in the format of empirical research and review of the literature. A viewpoint is also published, as an invited contribution aiming to convey new ideas or controversial perspectives on cutting-edge topics.

Proposal for publication

Authors who wish to submit a manuscript to the Journal should conform to the submission procedures and the author guidelines, which are accessible on the Journal’s website.

Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published in their current form and they must not be currently submitted to other journals.

Peer review and publication process

TOPIC uses double-blind review, which implies that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed throughout the review process. To enable this, authors need to guarantee that their manuscripts are prepared in a way that does not give away their identity.

Submitted articles fitting the aims and scope of the Journal will be sent in the anonymous form by the Editor to two Section Editors, who can review the manuscript or can decide, at their own discretion, to forward the manuscript, always respecting the anonymous form, to specialists in the filed not belonging to the Editorial Board.

Any corrections to manuscripts requested by the reviewers (sent to the authors within one month from the submission) must be made within one month, the deadline set for the authors to send the journal the modified version of the article.

Open access policy

TOPIC provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. There are no charges for publication of manuscripts in this Journal.

TOPIC does not charge for the submission and publication of scientific products.
