L’utilizzo della mindfulness negli interventi per i disturbi dissociativi

Il presente lavoro esplora il ruolo dello stato mentale di mindfulness come processo utile all’integrazione della coscienza nei disturbi dissociativi. Tali disturbi si manifestano quando la capacità di essere presenti a sé stessi risulta compromessa. Sebbene la mindfulness abbia dimostrato una certa efficacia clinica nella regolazione emotiva e nello sviluppo di competenze metacognitive, il suo impiego in questo ambito è generalmente sconsigliato o adottato con estrema cautela, risultando infatti poco approfondito nella letteratura scientifica. Il contributo propone un modello teorico fondato sulla simultaneità dei processi psicologici come chiave interpretativa per comprendere l’emergere della coscienza e, conseguentemente, per modulare intenzionalmente lo stato mentale associato alla mindfulness. Tale prospettiva consente di valorizzare interventi clinici già esistenti — quali la presentificazione janetiana, l’EMDR, la desensibilizzazione e il modello collaborativo-paritetico — e di delineare nuove ipotesi di intervento finalizzate all’integrazione della coscienza attraverso forme di conoscenza non discorsiva. Pur presentando alcune limitazioni, tra cui l’assenza di dati empirici sistematici, il lavoro si propone come base teorica per lo sviluppo di future ricerche sperimentali, offrendo al contempo ai clinici una nuova chiave di lettura per favorire l’emergere di stati di consapevolezza integrati nel trattamento dei disturbi dissociativi.
